Privacy policy

We value your personal information and handle it as described below, in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the airport transfer and car charter booking service that FUJIRIDE (“we”) provides on this website, and to the partner portals used by transport companies and hotels.

2. Information we collect

• Information you enter when booking: name, phone number, email, messaging app ID (WeChat / LINE / WhatsApp / KakaoTalk), flight number, pickup and drop-off locations, date and time, number of passengers and luggage, and notes.
• Reviews: your rating and comments.
• Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type and access time, used for security and to prevent fraudulent bookings.
• Partners (transport companies, hotels): company name, license details, contact person, phone, email, payout account, etc.

3. How we use it

• To arrange your ride: sending your booking to the transport company and contacting you;
• To send booking confirmations, driver details, changes and cancellation notices;
• To answer enquiries and handle complaints and disputes;
• To prevent fraudulent bookings and abuse and keep our systems secure;
• To improve our service (statistics use numbers only, without personal information);
• To suggest related services such as return transfers or car charter in our notification emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).

4. Sharing with third parties

• The transport company operating your ride: your name, phone, messaging app ID, flight number, pickup and drop-off locations and time, passengers and luggage, and notes, so that it can carry out the transport.
• If you booked through a hotel QR code or hotel front desk: that hotel can see your booking (for bookings you made yourself, your phone number and email are partly hidden).
• Where required by law, or where necessary to protect life, body or property.
• Apart from the above, we do not provide your personal information to third parties without your consent.

5. Service providers

• We entrust server operation and email delivery to an external provider (Alibaba Cloud) and supervise it appropriately.
• Address suggestions and distance calculation on the booking page use a map service: the text you type in the address field and the place you select are sent to Google Maps (Google LLC, USA) or to the Photon service (komoot GmbH, Germany; OpenStreetMap data), only to find places and calculate the distance to the airport.
• Online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (USA): you enter card and other payment details on Stripe’s page; we never receive or store them, only the payment result (amount, method and payment ID).

6. Storage outside Japan

Personal information is stored on servers in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China (Alibaba Cloud Hong Kong region). Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) governs the collection, use and protection of personal data. We apply security measures to personal information stored outside Japan in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

7. Security measures

• All pages are encrypted with HTTPS;
• Booking pages use random links that cannot be guessed;
• Partner and admin logins require a password and a CAPTCHA, lock after repeated failures, and passwords are stored encrypted;
• Access is limited by role: hotels see only their own bookings, transport companies only bookings offered to or accepted by them.

8. Cookies and local storage

This website uses a session cookie (to keep you signed in and prevent forged submissions) and a language cookie. The booking page temporarily saves what you type in your own browser (for 7 days) so you can continue later; it is not sent to us until you submit a booking (except the text typed in the address field, which is used to suggest places; see section 5). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

9. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to complete your booking, handle enquiries and disputes, and meet legal (accounting, tax) requirements, and then delete or anonymise it.

10. Your requests

You may ask us to disclose, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop using it or sharing it with third parties. Please contact us using the details below; we will respond within a reasonable period after confirming your identity.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when laws or our service change. Updates will be published on this page.
